明代福建漳州田坑窯生產的素三彩瓷，以外銷為主，因而國內存世量不多。16、17世紀，大量輸入日本，而該窯口的素三彩瓷盒更是被用做茶道用具而風靡一時，同時對日本美濃的黃瀨戶等陶瓷業發展有著重要的影響。日本許多博物館、美術館都收藏有田坑窯素三彩瓷器，比如三井文庫、出光美術館、根津美術館、北村美術館、德川美術館、藤田美術館、MOA美術館等，其素三彩瓷藏品大多是傳世品。
