款识：太湖晚眺图。庚午秋写，志远同志存正，亚明。钤印：亚明之印（白文） 亚明（1924～2002），原名叶亚明，安徽省合肥市人。1945年毕业于淮南艺术专科学校，早年在部队从事美术宣传工作，50年代起专事中国画创作。当代中国最具影响的国画家之一。中国画坛重要流派“新金陵画派”的中坚推动者和组织者。早年曾任美术记者、编辑、主编及画报总编，长期担任江苏省美协主席、省国画院党组书记兼副院长、南京大学教授、中国美术家协会常务理事、中国文联委员等职。曾隐居太湖“近水山庄”，深居简出，苦心研艺。
