平头案为案的一种，其长度一般不超过横宽度的两倍，且案都无束腰式家具，取材于我国传统建筑结构—大木梁架的造型，优美而牢固，运用夹头榫，即四足在顶端出榫，与案面底面的卯眼结合，腿足上端开口，嵌夹牙头和牙条，故其外观腿足高过牙头与牙条，这种结构四足把牙条夹住，连接成方框，上承案面，使案面与腿足的角度不易变动，并把重量很好的均摊到四足，十分的精巧。此案牙头与牙板之上浅浮雕细密的如意云纹饰并间以饕餮纹饰，繁缛而典雅。腿足中部凸起，雕两个相对的云纹分别向上向下翻出，比例匀称，装饰华丽。整体线条舒缓流畅，婉转动人，富韵律美，纹饰图案古雅，繁而不俗。
