说明：宋代以降，仿古之风颇盛，宋蔡绦《铁围山从谈》卷四有“时所重者，三代之器而已。”宋郑居中《政和五礼新仪》卷首亦云“然追三代之风，以充昭太平，典章之盛。”本品即为在此思潮影响下，杂糅古今之设计理念，以商代羊尊为母题设计而成，三羊作昂首立姿，寓意三羊开泰，其角弯曲贴服于耳后，双眼外凸，张口利齿，羊首描绘颇为写实，而身躯刻划则倾向于抽象化，羊后半身对接，背承一尊，三对足鼎立，身上饰兽面纹与龙纹，整体肃穆庄重，颇为绮丽，愈显深峻挺拔之美，可谓自成别致。
