此式为曼生十八式之一的经典壶形，陈曼生依据秦砖汉瓦，设计了一款“飞鸿延年壶”，由杨彭年制成，为当时的名品。此器紫泥为胎，造型古朴，端庄典雅。壶盖嵌于壶身，壶身通体饰灰白彩绘“花卉纹”，上置柱钮，平底，一弯流出水甚好。壶底印版纹饰“飞鸿延年”，壶身刻有“玉川子以润，曼生”。圆润中透出古朴韵味。
