款識：宣德年制 此類沖耳爐，明代中期至清代早期出現較廣，此爐即為明代沖耳之佼佼者也。爐型寬扁，雙耳微微外撇，薄壁大膛，口沿似圓似方，處理極為精妙，頸部微收，腹鼓而肥，緩緩收向三足，足底平，堂內為典型明代鑄法，鑄痕明顯，全然不似清代修膛之法。 此爐遍身赤金霞片，內入身骨，外現瑰麗，盈實之餘，光輝四溢，似皓月朗星之清輝，光華微微，淡淡穆穆，奇妙無窮。黃銅赤金，銅質明亮，持之墜手感甚強，叩之音色清亮，悠遠綿長，非上好佳銅所不能為。 若此爐端正於幾案之上，相伴琴書，可寄情松月，或下訪梅竹，其情雋永，其意深遠。
