洪建国（1960- ），号石痴，福建福州人。生于雕刻世家，结合玉雕、牙雕技术融于寿山石雕，被誉为“香港石雕艺术三杰”之一。
此件作品选用芙蓉石雕刻而成，凝润似脂玉，细腻无暇。作者洪建国以圆雕手法刻戏狮罗汉题材，罗汉神态安详、清净庄严，右手抚狮，作戏狮状。其身倚靠在一葫芦上，体态洒落不羁，衣袍拂落，自带仙人的飘逸，石头的一处黑色则被巧取为罗汉所戏的狮子，格外引人注目。整件作品刀法简练而传神，气质高古冲淡，观之有安闲之气。
