簡介：應野平（1910—1990），幼承家學，喜愛繪畫，16歲後專攻山水。初學王石穀、王鑒，後師石濤及宋元諸家畫風。1949年前曾任新華藝術專科學校教授。1949年後任上海人民美術出版社編輯室副主任，1960年任教於上海美術專科學校，1983年任上海大學美術學院教授。所作筆墨蒼潤拙樸，格調清新明快，畫面氣韻生動。1988年6月在中國美術館舉辦個人畫展。出版有《應野平山水畫輯》《應野平山水畫冊》等；擅書法，以隸書見長。曾為中國美術家協會會員，上海美協常務理事，上海市書法家協會名譽理事，上海中國畫院畫師。
