PROVENANCE: From Clayton, Delaware Private Collector. Dimensions (cm): Heigth: 24 Diam.: 12 Chinese Qing Dynasty YongZheng Red and Gold glazed Lotus Porcelain Vase. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean red base color which contrast against gold fine color, depicted of lotus blossom interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Red is representing happiness, beauty, vitality, good luck, success and good fortune. And Gold is a color of completeness, wealth, metal, God consciousness, richness and nobility. Combinations of gold and red are seen on special occasions and is a winning color combination.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings lines. Made in The Years YongZheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
