Measurements: 11.625in x7in x 7in Chinese Qing Dynasty period, Red monochrome glazed porcelain meiping jar. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. All reserved in an even coat of a iron red glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The red glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The under-base bears a reign mark, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Made in The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
