余翰青，生于1904年，卒于1987年，江西乐平人。著名陶瓷艺术家、国画家。1959年市政府首批授予“陶瓷美术家”称号。曾任景德镇陶瓷学院美术系副教授、中国美术家协会会员、省、市文联委员、景德镇书画院顾问、市文物管理局鉴定委员。从事陶瓷艺术教育、创作六十多年，擅长陶瓷美术、中国画、古诗词研究。创作了不少很有影响的陶瓷精品和中国画力作，入选国内外重大展览，很多精品均被国家馆藏机构及海内外收藏家珍藏。此件洒蓝开光粉彩描金六方卷缸就是余翰青早年的精品之作。
