钤印：释惟觉（朱） 惟觉老和尚 (1928-)， 四川省营山县人。于1963 年秋在基隆十方大觉寺 ，依灵泉长老座下披剃出家，字号知安，法名惟觉。在台北县万里乡山中，闭关茅棚十余年。后应大众恳请弘化利众，始出草寮，辟建灵泉寺。随着皈依的四众弟子人数骤增，为了安僧度众，乃创建中台禅寺 ，于2001年 9月1 日落成启用，以"佛法五化──学术化、教育化、艺术化、科学化、生活化"为弘扬佛法的方向;广传禅宗心法，积极推动禅修教育。创建灵泉寺、中台佛教学院、中台禅寺、 普台国民小学、 普台高级中学、 中台山博物馆，以及中台禅寺海内外一百零八家分院精舍。
