The archaic ritual vessel is of cylindrical form with slightly splayed foot ring and waisted neck, four beast mask handles on the shoulders, body cast with taotie masks and other archaic patterns in lobe, bottom inscribed with archaic text.|Shang Dynasty period.||Height: 14 in (35.6 cm) Diameter: 11 in (27.9 cm)|商 青銅晨卣寧角|此卣成橢圓體腹式，敦實古樸。折邊兩端飾有貘首和角狀突出物，貘耳似蠶豆後貼，頸部前後亦各有一個貘首，較為罕見。頸部內束，腹部下垂外鼓，高圈足外撇，是典型的商代器形。可知是為禮器，別于盛酒的實用器，地位非常。另外，該卣流傳有序，著錄繁多，從十九世紀末期的《敬吾心室彝器款識》至二十世紀的《殷周金文集成》等國家級別的出版物都有此件銘文器形的介紹，資料詳實可信，收藏價值和學術價值珍貴至極。
