著录：《八琼室皕磗砚录》第七砚，陆增祥辑。 铭文： 第七砚。若侯。砖文：未央。 以古砖制砚古已有之，至清代金石学兴起而滥觞。制作者大多选汉、晋之砖，因其多有图案文字，高古淳朴，极具赏玩价值。此砚以古残砖改制，形制方正，开平池。一侧有“第七砚”隶书铭文。此砚包浆醇厚，气息高古，置之案头，雅意弥漫。铭者简介： 陆增祥 （1816～1882），字魁仲，号星农、莘农，江苏太仓人。道光三十年（1850）一甲一名进士，官翰林院修撰，历官湖南辰永沅靖道，有政声，以疾告归。少通六书，好学博览，精金石学《八琼室磗砚录》、《八琼室皕磗砚录》。
