设色绢本立轴 朱称(1826年--1900年) 为朱熊之弟。少时从张熊学画，临摹逼真，使张几不能自辨;中年以后，王礼声名鹊起，以奔放超脱胜张之工细，遂改师王礼，题字款识莫不酷似;晚年学华岩，脱去霸气，鬻艺海上，学者甚众。朱氏擅画花鸟，早年笔墨圆润工丽如张熊;中年侧锋挥斫如剑戟森然，一种霸悍之气直追王礼;晚年转趋平淡蕴藉。其两翎毛之喙、爪尖挺劲利，大变华岩图式，对当时、后世海上画派花鸟画家影响甚大。取材多生动热烈，喜气洋洋。晚清海派六十家之一。
