The light treatment stands out at a formal level, very studied and contrasted, directly influenced by Italian naturalism. Thus, the figure is strongly illuminated, highlighted against the background, and the painter models the volumes and shapes through very elaborate half-lights. The brushstroke used is changing, much more precise, practically invisible, in the face, hair and bust of the woman, but looser, in the dress.Giacomo Amiconi, was an Italian painter of the late Baroque or Rococo period, who began his career in Venice, but traveled and was prolific throughout Europe, where his sumptuous portraits were in great demand. Amigoni initially painted both mythological and religious scenes; but as the panoply of his patrons expanded northward, he began to produce many salon works Beginning in 1717, he is documented as working in Bavaria at Nymphenburg Castle (1719); Schleissheim Castle (1725-1729); and the Benedictine abbey of Ottobeuren. He returned to Venice in 1726.
