(early 19th century) Napoleon's House, Longwood, St. Helena,�inscribed at bottom "Vue de la Maison de Longwood Prise du Jardin Fleuriste a St. Helene", circa 1815-1820, watercolor and ink on wove paper, with embossed bee blindstamp lower left, 8-1/4 in. - Provenance: Private Florida Collection - Note: Longwood House is the home where Napoleon died in exile on May 5, 1821. The view is from the front entrance and the gardens which Napoleon tended.
