An illuminated manuscript copied in Isfahan, dated 1225 AH/1810 AD, Persian manuscript on paper, written in black nasta'liq within four columns, ruled in black and gold, the opening page with a gold and polychrome heading and gold floral border, in a floral lacquer binding with losses and a Qajar book of prayers, Iran, dated 1230 AH/1814-15 AD, Arabic manuscript on paper, written in black naskh, ruled in black, gold and blue, chapter headings written in red, a later inscription on f.1a identifying the manuscript as a al-kåmilah al-Sajjådiyyah, in a later brown leather binding, 15 x 9cm (2) Provenance: a fly-leaf written in English with a late 19th /early 20th century hand describes the volume as a collection of Persian poems. From a private collection recently removed from Knightsbridge, London and by family descent.
