沉香历来是珍贵的木材和香料，其色泽深沉古朴，典雅之至。以沉香制杯之风，盛行于明清两代，并且因属于舶来品而成为奇器，其地位甚至高于金银制品，明末清初学者屈大均《广东新语》中，对沉香杯的名贵即有清晰描述。 拍品呈口大底小圆锥状，内壁掏空。杯壁雕刻松竹高士，苍松异石，虬枝曲干，错落有致，层次分明，观之令人飘然忘我，遁入隐逸，淡泊宁静的心境油然而生。整器刀法简练，造型高古，很好地体现了古人对“静”的理解。并且两只一对，殊为难得。全器雕刻技法娴熟，其色泽沉郁，包浆自然，为难得的沉香木雕佳作。
