玉雕童子喜鹊花插，中间为瓶，两侧分别圆雕、镂雕站立童子，开脸喜庆，充分突显出婴戏题材的童真欢快之意境。童子肩上雕琢喜鹊，寓意“双喜临门”。此花插品相完整，立意吉祥，是用于花事的精致雅品。 喜鹊，首字为喜，称“报喜鸟”、“吉祥鸟”。古时，喜鹊被称为“神鹊”，有能感知预兆的功能。《开元天宝遗事》：“时人之家闻鹊声皆以为喜兆，故谓灵鹊报喜。”无名氏《鹊踏枝》：“叵耐灵鹊多谩语，送喜何曾有凭据?”韩愈诗“家人视喜鹊”，宋之问诗“破颜看喜鹊”，欧阳修诗“蜘蛛喜鹊误人多”，都写出了人们盼望喜运的迫切心情。出门遇喜鹊鸣叫，预示心想事成。两只喜鹊，表示“双喜临门 好事成双”。
