Circa 60-50 BC. Obv: two parallel bands on a plain field flanked by two annulets. Rev: horse prancing right with floral sun above, double ring below. S. -; ABC 623; BMC 375. See Portable Antiquities Scheme reference BERK-1FC826 (this coin"). 1.19 grams. ("). Found Winterbourne, West Berkshire, UK; recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) with record number BERK-1FC826; accompanied by a copy of the PAS report. This coin was possibly struck using the same dies as the coin illustrated in ABC (623), with more wear around the horse's head (the eye area, and the two annulets on the reverse are worn), otherwise the markings on this coin are identical to that illustrated in ABC. Only one other issue of this coin (and the same dies) has been recorded by the PAS, also found in West Berkshire (SUR-11A824").
