A pair of Chinese temple rubbings featuring deities. The first rubbing depicts Guanyin from the Ying Dynasty. Guanyin is the goddess of mercy and fertility. The rubbing is from the monument created by Wu Daozhi (680-760). The second rubbing is of Fu, Lu, and Shou from the Qing dynasty and is created from a monument to Sanxing. The deities represent financial health, life and leadership. Dimensions of largest: 71 1/4 inches tall X 27 inches wide; 181 cm tall X 68.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The smaller one has water damage at the top and minor cracking. The larger one has a tear at the bottom. Provenance: From a collection in Northern Virginia.
