Unsigned Japan, Osaka, 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868) The small boy reclining with his legs crossed and supporting his rather large head on one arm, the other placed on his belly. His clothes are colored in polychrome pigments and gesso accents, all appropriately worn. Good himotoshi through the underside.
