A "VERDURE" TAPESTRY, wool and silk, Flemish, 1st half 18th century. Restored and repairs. Provenance: From the Villa at the Victoria Park Kronberg/Taunus. In familiar property since at least 1917 - Size reduced, minor damages and restoration due to age Tapisserie "Verdure" Flämisch, 1. Hälfte 18. Jahrhundert 280 x 214 cm Wolle und Seide: Blick in eine idealisierte Parklandschaft mit reichem Baumbestand. Im Vordergrund grossblättrige Pflanzen mit Blütenstaenden und ein Wildvogel, rastend auf einem Geäst. Typisch für die sogenannten "Verdüren" ist die variationsreiche Pflanzenornamentik mit reichen Schattierungen von Grün- und Blautönen. Eine gewundene Ranke mit eingestellten Blüten und Schleifen umrahmt die dekorative Webarbeit. Umfangreiche Restaurierungen. Die Größe modifiziert, kleinere Alterssch., part. rest. Provenienz: Aus der Villa am Viktoriapark/Kronberg im Taunus. Die Villa wurde vom Frankfurter Bankdirektor Georg Achill Hermann Andreae als Familiensitz erbaut. Im Jahr 1917 erwarb sie Dr. Robert Hartmann-Kempf, Sohn des Gründers der Frankfurter "Hartmann & Braun AG". Bis heute war die Villa im Familienbesitz.
