如此短小的日本十九式搭乘者军刀为国内首见。十九式军刀在1934年被九八式军刀取代，但是在1934年之前，日本陆军已经拥有了诸如飞机、坦克等技术装备，为了这些乘员佩戴，故制作了一些十九式搭乘者军刀。因数量稀少，所以存世量不多。军刀尺寸短小，其余制式与十九式军刀一致。刀鞘为钢制，配有一枚挂环。刀身为日本武士刀古刀条，无铭，刃纹为拳形丁子。刀柄为明显西洋样式，护指与护手及柄首相连，刀柄包裹有珍珠鱼皮，柄装浮雕有鱼籽地纹及樱花。全长68厘米。
