拍品精选白泥为胎圆口长颈，于颈部两侧对称置兽耳衔环，圆鼓腹，下渐收敛内凹成足，线条优美，端庄大气。通体施釉，釉面光润可鉴，以灰蓝色为地间有斑驳裸露紫砂胎本色，为典型明末清初宜钧发色，故宫博物院藏一只天蓝釉方瓶（《故宫博物院藏文物珍品大系·紫砂器》商务印书馆2008年，页242，图205），同样装饰兽耳，可供参考。宜钧釉自明末开始进献宫廷，且因其存在时间短、制作昂贵，故而留世甚少。拍品造型华丽美观，制作精细，为同类器中上品佳作，更为珍贵。
