拍品為黃玉質，蟾蜍頭頂有角，作跪姿， 雙手交扣胸前，背帶翅膀。頭部與手腳局 部帶皮色，通身有穿孔。六朝時期，道家 思想蓬勃發展，蟾蜍有著獨特之涵義。東 晉文豪郭璞《玄中記》記載：「蟾蜍頭生角， 得而食之，壽千歲。又能食山精。」又東 晉道家學者葛洪所著《抱朴子》中記載：「五 芝者，有石芝，有木芝，有草芝，有肉芝， 有菌芝，⋯⋯肉芝者，謂萬歲蟾蜍，頭上 有角⋯⋯。」當時的玄學思想中，頭帶角 的蟾蜍有著延年益壽的特殊功效，更衍生 成長壽與長生不老的靈物。由本件拍品的 形象，可窺探六朝道家玄學思想之一隅。 參閱： 1. 六朝黃玉瑞蟾，紐約蘇富比， 2019/3/19， Lot106， 高：4.7 公分，成交價：620,000USD。 2. 台北故宮博物院 藏，仿古玉獸，故玉 005791，高：6 公分。
