作者简介：陈衍宁，1945年生于广州市。1959年考入广州美术学院附属中等美术学校，1965年毕业于广州美术学院油画系。1971年至1985年先后在广东省文艺创作室、广东画院从事创作。1986年留学美国，1988年毕业于美国俄克拉荷马市立大学艺术系，留校任教。1987年至1989年，美国韩夫纳画廊为他在纽约举办了两次个人画展。是欧美最受追捧的画家之一。中国美术家协会会员，美协广东分会常务理事，广东省文联委员。款识：庄子逍遥中记载鹏之徙于南冥也，水击三千里抟扶摇而上者九万里。癸亥年衍宁画于羊城珠江之滨。钤印：陈（白文）、衍宁（朱文）
