RIC ix, p.19, 27e; RSC 109; Sear 19675; see Robertson, 1585 for hoard details. 1.88 grams. ("). Acquired Spink & Son, London, 1990s, with ticket; originally from the Holway, Somerset Hoard, 1821. The hoard of some 300 plus late Roman silver coins found at Holway, Somerset in 1821 was discovered in the vicinity of two skeletons; coins from this group ended up in the collections of Mr H. Franklin and Taunton Museum; this is presumably one of the Franklin coins. [No Reserve]
