A late Victorian silver three piece bachelor tea set, comprising teapot, milk jug and twin-handled sucrier, each of squat ovoid form to flat base, with gadroon style decoration to lower body, the teapot with ebonised handle and finial to hinged lid with conforming decoration, hallmarked Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield 1894, length of teapot 8.25 (21cm). Together with a twin-handled bowl, of circular form to spread footed base, hallmarked William Mammatt & Son, Sheffield 1900, a small twin-handled trophy, hallmarked Robert Pringle & Sons, London 1904, plus a pair of silver plated sugar nips. Gross silver weight 25 ozt (786.8 grams). All in tired condition, displaying general surface wear, marks, and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing on all, and would benefit from a clean and polish.Teapot lid does not sit flush, handle cracked at base and loose, and dent to rim of base.Slight hole to underside of trophy.Hallmarks and maker's marks worn but legible.Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
