A cavalry helmet comprising a leather frame and applied bronze strips with lacing holes, knop finial above and two lateral disc ear-guards with loops for securing straps, narrow peak and falling nasal bar. Cf. similar item (with full faceplate) in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York under accession number 36.25.99. 1.4 kg total, 5.4-28cm (2 - 11").
