NEOGRICAL COLUMN PRESENTATION SADDLE, AWARDED TO GERVAIS ÉMILE HENRI SERVANT (1828- c.1890), CIRCA 1870in blackened wood, gilded brass and antique green patina. The was slightly flared with double ring flutes. The upper part is decorated with beaded palms held on a ring by large stylized nuts. The square base is decorated with a frieze of palms. It rests on leafy feet. The inverted square top is decorated with a mould with large gadroons. (The veneer on the base is missing, some glass holes in the upper part of the column.
