AN ANTIQUE EARLY TEXAS DOCUMENT, PROMISSORY NOTE SIGNED BY STEPHEN F. AUSTIN, MARCH 22, 1833, hand inscribed ink on paper, signed L/R, "Stephen F. Austin," the document ordering Mr. W. Kinstray of Austin to repay the sum of four hundred and seventy dollars and thirty four cents to Mr. N. Hunter. 5" x 7 1/2" Note: Mr. Hunter was likely one of Austin's original three hundred or a descendant thereof. A Dr. Johnson Hunter is listed as medical doctor that held large tracts of land and produced ten children between he and his wife Martha in the early Texas colony.
