A THREE PIECE FRENCH PATINATED AND GILT SPELTER ON MARBLE FIGURAL MANTLE CLOCK GARNITURE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, the realistically cast figure modeled as a peasant farmer wearing a floppy straw hat, loose clothes and barefoot striding while sewing loose seeds from one hand and with other clutching a seed sac hung from his shoulder, illegibly signed in the circular groundwork base, labeled "Le Semeur," (The Sower) on a rouge griotte marble socle encircled by a rectangular stylized rocaille metal panel with curling sides and corners with applied fruit-filled horn cast cornucopias, above a laurel leaf and acanthus leaf embellished circular beaded bezel with glass cover opening to a white dial with stylized Arabic numerals alternating floral festoons enclosing reticulated gilt metal hands and twin key escapements, raised on a conforming rouge griotte marble base with leafy paw feet, height: 33 3/4", width: 18", depth: 11"; together with a matching pair of lidded vases of twist gadrooned baluster form flanked by twin vine entwined handles and raised on rouge griotte marble bases with gilt leafy paw feet, height: 18", width: 11 1/2" depth: 6 1/2".
