全器呈圆角长方体，器身为瓷胎，两侧绘黄地绿彩龙凤纹，器口以瓷板封口，板面一侧挖方形云角口，另一侧为三圆口， 上配景泰蓝云龙纹方盖，以子母口密合，虽器盖丢失，但后人以景泰蓝按原物仿制，足以见主人对此物的喜爱。 。此式文具盒源于伊斯兰金属器，自明永乐朝引入中国并改以瓷制 此种釉上彩在康熙彩瓷中并不多见，众所周知康熙五彩绚丽多姿，驰名中外，而素三彩作为康熙的彩瓷之一， 虽然用彩方面没有五彩那么丰富，但它在清朝宫廷用瓷中地位很高，非同凡响， 这主要是由于素三彩精细繁杂的工艺流程和高雅的艺术品位。
