Description: Front: Corpus Christi as a three-nail type, the ends as trefoils. Depicted in reliefs: God the Father, Mary, John and Mary Magdalene. The tradition of leading a procession by carrying a cross mounted on a long pole originates from the early Middle Ages. Das sogenannte Vortragekreuz dient in der römisch-katholischen Liturgie hauptsächlich dem feierlichen Einzug bei einer festlichen Messe. Die Tradition einen festlichen Zug, ein auf einer langen Stange befestigtes Kreuz voran zu tragen geht bis ins frühe Mittelalter zurück.
