A stucco figure of a standing male (Herakles?) wearing a loose chlamys draped from the left shoulder and held by the left hand, lion-skin hood to the head with the fore paws tied around the neck; mounted on a custom-made stand. 1.5 kg total, 31cm including stand (12 1/4"). From the private collection of an Oxford professional, formed in the 1970s-1990s; acquired on the UK art market.
