据《清档》载：“乾隆五十七年清册，乾隆五十七年六月初一日立寿意磁器，乾隆五十六年五月十八日收景福交：……均釉灵芝花插二件(紫檀座，嘉庆四年十月二十三日，赏庆郡王长女、次女每人一件)……”。即为拍品同类器於清宫之存贮、陈设、赏赐记载。拍品造型及工艺与大英博物馆藏清乾隆窑变釉灵芝花插相类，为雍正朝仿古陈设花器。取灵芝为形，造型别致，构思巧妙，寓意吉祥如意。器身满施仿钧窑变釉，色呈紫红色，间以蓝色、月白色，交织相融，晕染有致，巧若天成。
