Framed. 22" x 34", framed 27-1/2" x 39-1/2" Provenance: Estate of Francis J. Reinhardt, Jr., New York, New York. Notes: As an emerging artist in the mid-20th century, Wolf Kahn became well acquainted with a talented group of young artists working and living in New York City. Among Kahn's friends was artist Reuben Kadish. Kadish made the decision to leave New York City and moved his family to a farm in Vernon, New Jersey. Even though Kadish interests turned to dairy farming, but he maintained close ties to his fellow artists and hosted Jackson Pollack, Philip Guston, Mark Rothko, William de Kooning and Wolf Kahn at his rural farm. During a visit in 1979, Kahn painted the Kadish house as a memory of his visit
