Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong Carmine red monochrome glazed porcelain bile bottle. The porcelain potted in biliary bottle form, spherical body, with wide ovoid lower belly, thick, shoulder tapering to straight neck, with tall cylindrical stick neck, with close rim, raised on slightly round, with deep concave foot base. All reserved masterfully covered in an even coat of a carmine red glaze. Under-glazed Red In Chinese it is called You Li Hong. Being one of the most precious varieties of Chinese glaze, it first appeared in the Yuan Dynasty with copper as its colorant. But, the firing is most difficult for copper, under high temperature, is easy to evaporate. Both fresh rend and ruby red in the Ming Dynasty were top grade glazes. The red creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin.
