In an interior, sitting on a large bed with a green canopy, the naked goddess of love, Venus. Her left arm lovingly laid over the shoulders of Mars, the god of war, sitting beside her in armour with helmet. At the bottom right of the edge of the bed her son Amor can be seen, holding bow and arrow in his hands. At the top left a large rectangular window opening which allows a view outside into a wide landscape. Painting in bright colours, in which especially the nudity and the light skin and incarnate parts of the goddess are emphasized, opposite Mars, dressed in full armour with sandals, who looks at her lovingly. Vertical continuous crack in the middle as well as further smaller wood cracks. (1222202) (18)
