Half-length portrait to the right, looking towards the viewer, against a dark emerald green background. The alternation between large form and finest detail, as a stylistic feature, is fully visible here. The plain and large area of the dress, with a simple, wide black border, is contrasted with the delicacy of a delicate, thin necklace, as are the brows, which are only hinted at with thin brushstrokes. Thus the painting is stylistically close to the well-known portraits of women by Andrea del Sarto, such as the artist's wife or his portraits of the Madonna. (1221821) (2) (11)
