Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong doucai bird & floral motif porcelain moon vase. The porcelain with tall ovoid body, thick, with bulbous lower region, sweeping up into a slender neckline and straight slightly flaring mouth rim, raised with a short rectangle footing, two lingzhi fungus handles flanked from neck to the shoulder rim, create majestic handles. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the doucai color. Doucai decoration the design is outlined in under glaze blue and filled in with over glaze colored enamels except blue. Colors which fit together but also contrasting or joined colors. Decoration in a combination of under glaze cobalt blue outlines and enamels added on top of the fired glaze, within the outlines. The Exterior decorated with bird hanging on the branch interspersed various flowers blooms, fresh green foliage and rocks, enclosed with scrolling ruyi and banded with double fine rings. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty. Dimensions: 9.75"W x 12.75"H
