Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Yongzheng hexagonal amphora zun vase. The Porcelain potted in amphora zun shape vase, thick and slight tall, hexagonal body, heavy hexagonal lower body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight cylindrical neck, straight open lip, two ribbon handles emerging and flanked on the neck, raised with short splayed hexagonal foot base and slightly concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in douqing under glazed base color which contrast against the iron red fine color. Douqing reserved in pale-turquoise- pale green celadon under glazed ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim. And Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. Its color does not easily fade and durability is longer. It used cobaltous oxide as the colorant. Patterns were directly painted onto the inner body and burnt after glaze was applied on it. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy.
