Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Wanli wucai gu beaker motif porcelain vase. The vase potted in a Chinese porcelain traditional Gu beaker shape, having baluster shaped body, large, tall and thick, bulging belly on the mid, trumpet-shaped on the neck, raised with high round flaring foot base, emerging auspicious rectangles flanked in each section. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glaze base color which contrast against the Wucai design color. Wucai or five-color shades and tones, brightly painted in Wucai design, Opaque colors around the exterior, between the filling motif decorated in colorful motif. The main belly adorned with many carp swims among crab and water plants. The lower belly, the upper belly and the neck decorated flowers blooms interspersed fresh green foliage. Scrolling interlocking tendril and flowers blooms festooned on the upper mouth rim. And the foot base rim decorated auspicious motief and geometric pattern. Each section mark off and enclosed with double fine red rings lines. The Carp Similar sounding to the word "Business" in Chinese, the carp symbolizes a wish for benefit or advantage in business, and accepted to represent longevity, wealth, abundance, and perseverance. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.
