釋文：仰南斗以斟酌，濯明月於漪漣。|款識：郭嵩燾。|印鑒：郭嵩燾印、丁未翰林|鑒藏印：趙恩館、趙氏樂天樓珍藏、恩館心賞|作者介紹：| 郭嵩燾（1818-1891），郭嵩燾，字伯琛，號筠仙，別署玉池山農，室名養知書屋，湖南湘陰人。道光二十七年（1847）進士。咸豐二年（1852）入曾國藩幕，由編修至廣東巡撫、兵部侍郎。1876年任出使英國大臣，後兼使法國。主張學習西方科學技術，支持洋務運動。為近代思想啟蒙者之一。|鑒藏者介紹：| 趙安浩，字恩館，號樂天居士，四明人（今浙江寧波）。富收藏。| 上聯語出西晉左思的《吳都賦》：“仰南斗以斟酌，兼二儀之優渥”，南斗指南斗六星，形似鬥狀，民間以為南斗主生，專司延壽；下聯亦出《吳都賦》：“剖巨蚌於回淵，濯明月於漣漪”。此聯文字優美又豪氣萬丈，或為自壽之用。|
