钤印：王毂祥印、禄之款识：万里清光不可思，添愁益恨绕天涯，谁人陇外久征戍，何处庭前新别离。失宠故姬归院夜，没蕃老将上楼时。照他几许人肠断，玉兔银蟾远不知。王榖祥。说明 王榖祥，字禄之，号酉室，长洲人。嘉靖八年（一五二九）进士，官吏部员外郎。善写生，渲染有法度，意致独到，即一枝一叶，亦有生色。为士林所重。中年绝不肯落笔，凡人间所传者，皆赝本也。书仿晋人，不随羲之献之之风，篆籀八体及摹印，并臻妙品。卒年六十八。王榖祥书法为画名所掩，他的书法主要受吴门书家影响，笔法苍劲有力，结体张弛有致，整幅作品上下呼应，左右映带，血脉相通，气贯神溢。
