水墨纸本立轴唐才常（1867-1900），字伯平，号佛尘，湖南浏阳人，清末维新派领袖。与谭嗣同同乡同师于欧阳中鹄，并称为“浏阳二杰”。光绪二十三年与谭嗣同在浏阳兴办算学馆，提倡新学，在长沙办时务学堂，编辑《湘学报》，宣传变法维新。戊戌政变后去日本、南洋集资，回沪后创“自立会”，旋于汉口发动自立军起义，事泄被捕就义。着有《唐才常集》。
