款识：乞检榕邨集诗文书……馥肃白。鉴藏印：铁岭王贵忱印、玄伯藏札说明 水墨纸本 信札（一通一开）此札所书是桂馥在阅读清代理学名臣李光地所著《榕邨集》诗文集时有关“稼书先生”一节不明之处，即向“小雅先生”借阅全集一事。“小雅先生”是清代著名经学家、校勘学家、藏书家丁杰，浙江归安人，号小雅。桂馥（1736-1805），字未谷，号雩门，别号萧然山外史，山东曲阜人。乾隆五十五年（1790）进士，书法家，文字训诂学家。精于考证碑版，以分隶篆刻擅名。曾为「阅微草堂」题写匾额。著有《说文解字义证》、《缪篆分韵》、《晚学集》等。
