圆形，半圆钮，柿蒂纹钮座。座外单线方框与凹面方框之间饰十二乳钉纹间隔十二地支铭，凹面方框、博局纹及八乳钉将镜背主题分为四部分，分别饰有青龙与长冠凤鸟纹、白虎与青羊、朱雀与独角兽、玄武与羽人。其外铭文：“造此镜，金土精工，柬？见五刑，容貌颜色，常富贵，居安宁，宜子孙，直太平。”近缘处一圈短斜线纹，边缘纹饰为三角锯齿纹和双线流云纹。纹饰精美，线条流畅，铭文字体优美，动物形象栩栩如生，具有强烈感染力。通体泛银白色光泽，镜面依稀可鉴人。
